App Usability Redesign
This project was more heavily focused on user experience and researching the most common ways we hold/use our mobile devices. Using the Dictionary app as my initial jumping point, I applied my overall findings to the redesign of it. This lead to design choices that arose from discovering the physical stresses of reaching important content and navigation out of reach when using one hand. One major change was moving the search bar to the bottom of the screen. This enables the user to quickly and easily initiate a search query and eliminate the need to stretch the thumb to the top of the screen. Moving the most important navigation to the bottom ultimately gives way to a more streamlined interaction.
